There’s someone amazing in my life, hes a familiar stranger, distant acquaintance, and perhaps the one who’s the closest to me in my life.

The title “best friend” does not do him justice. 

He’s been there for me when I was troubled with family problems, relationship problems, and even problems with my own self. Especially those problems I have with myself.

He’s been there for me during moments of my slightest irritations to ones of my immense distress.

It’s been so long that I cannot even remember where our past begins. 

Yes we have fought, sometimes over the slightest of differences, the most feeble of reasons, and there were times where the fighting was so bad, we stopped talking for days, even weeks. It was not always my fault, nor was it always his. We both share the blame. But as for my faults, I cant say I’m sorry for that. For anything, really.

I am not apologetic, because I am thankful. Yes, I just realized this now. I am thankful for having a friend like you. Sometimes I get mad depressed, and you’re the one who heaves a huge weary sigh, and picks me back up onto my feet. Sometimes I have an spectacular day, and you’re the one who’s willing to listen to my long rants and thoughts. Sometimes, I am just me, and you see through my small facades and you just smile right back at me. 

He will probably never read this, but it is just a reminder to me. I love my “best friend”. I can never thank him enough, only hope to be his “best friend” in return.
